Safe Way Galaxy - Ferry Service between Roatan and La Ceiba

Safe Way Maritime provides ferry service between Roatan and La Ceiba. The ferry has been so successful that it is now the largest low-cost transportation provider between Roatan and the mainland of Honduras, shipping both passengers and cargo.

The ferry is more economical and more dependable than the regional flights between Roatan and the mainland. Flights may be cancelled because planes are not full enough, but the Safe Way Maritime ferry travels on schedule regardless of the passenger load, weather permitting. On-time, dependable schedules make your planning easy for both business and leisure travel. Travel time port to port is only about one hour and ten minutes.

The ferry, named the Galaxy Wave, is a 152 foot catamaran yacht, offering safety, convenience, and luxury. All passengers must go through security screening before boarding. A concession area onboard offers snacks and refreshments. Onboard entertainment is available.

Our new facility is easily accessible and located mid-island. More space has improved luggage transfer time. The new facility offers plenty of parking space, unlike the old curbside location in Coxen Hole.

The Galaxy Wave has a 460 passenger capacity. For regular ticket holders, two hundred and fifty seats are available in the lower, air conditioned cabin. Outside, an additional 150 seats are available on the second level for those that enjoy the outdoors.

First class passengers may ride in the comfort of the air conditioned second level cabin with its excellent view. The first class cabin has sixty seats. Watch for schools of dolphins and occasional whales!
